In 1030 the most northern cloister is mentioned in the west coast first documentary. It was founded around 950, supposedly by Evthimios, a pupil of the holy Athanasios. First it was consecrated to the holy Nikolaus of Myra, today to the archangels Michael and Gabriel.
Within the minster consecrated in 1568 it has the richest and best fresco jewellery on the Athos. Unfortunately, photos are strict prohibitioned in the cloister!
